Anderson Metals Brass Tube Fitting, Tee, 3/8 Compression x 1/4" Side Male Pipe"
This Anderson Metals tee compression tube fitting is made of brass, has compression connections and a male NPT connection, and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting is T-shaped and has three openings to connect and branch three tubes, two on the main run and one branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. Tube dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. “A” and “B” indicate the main run on the fitting, and “C” indicates the branch. It has compression connections on the main run and the branch and a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) connection on the other main run for connecting to a female NPT threaded tube. The NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. The compression connections have a three-piece construction – nut, sleeve, and body. Tightening the nut against the sleeve creates a compression seal against leaks, and loosening the nut allows disassembly of the joined parts. This tee compression tube fitting can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, or plastic tubing, has an operating temperature range of -65 to +250 degrees F and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and vacuum applications. Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others. Anderson Metals manufactures brass fittings, valves, and pipe nipples. The company, founded in 1951, is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.
