Blackberry Bold 9900: Snappy, Practical, and Easy

The Blackberry Bold 9900 is the bigger and better version of the Blackberry 9700 Bold. It’s big in more than just one way: larger screen and body, faster processor, bigger storage capacity, and better camera sensor. It’s a major upgrade from its predecessor without wandering too far from its origin.

Performance

One of the biggest leap that the Blackberry Bold has taken is the integration of a Quad-core processor into the Bold 9900. Together with that is a 1GB RAM to complement the lightning fast processing speed that this flagship device. The Blackberry Bold 9900 is set to deliver a smooth QWERTY smartphone experience tailor fit for all your business and productivity needs.

User Interface

The Blackberry Bold 9900 carries the series’ trademark OS which is the Blackberry OS but upgrade to v7. This latest update brings in a bunch of neat features like the NFC and HD video playback. The icons of this OS is reminiscent of the icons of Blackberry’s Playbook. There're two ways for users to navigate through the Bold 9900’s interface, that is through the use of the trackpad and the screen’s touch interface. Everything that you see on the display is clickable through the screen itself and you could easily scroll through the icons by swiping across the screen. Contrary to a flat layout of the iOS, the Blackberry OS v7 has a menu button on the screen and opens up a drawer of all the applications available on your Blackberry.

Camera

This business phone comes equipped with a 5 Megapixel shooter which is the highest camera resolution or a RIM smartphone. The camera interface features a relatively good amount of settings and options for customization. Some of the camera’s features are geotagging, flash, and scenes. Also, the trackpad of this phone serves as the shutter key for its camera. On the end of the camera’s feature is its video recording function. The quality of the videos that it produces are high with very good frame rate.

Connectivity Options

This is the department where the Blackberry Bold 9900 stands out greatly. It offers a broad range of connectivity options, from Bluetooth, NFC, data connection, and Wi-Fi. It also comes with a standard microUSB port that could be used for both data transfer and charging.
