News about Huawei Nova 2

Chinese smartphone giants, Huawei first entered the high-end smartphone scene in 2012 and they are unlikely to leave anytime soon with their recent achievement. Huawei has just announced that they have shipped more than 10 million copies of their flagship Huawei P9 and P9 Plus’ worldwide – making them the first models in Huawei’s inventory to achieve this remarkable feat. Despite a slow international market in terms of smartphone sales in 2016, this impressive result has proven that Huawei’s decision to invest in international markets is paying off handsomely. The announcement was made by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) in a press release released at the end of December 2016.

Huawei Nova 2 Philippines: Prices, Features, and Specs

Huawei Nova 2: Step Up Your Smartphone Photography Game

If you are in the market for a mid-range phone with high-end camera and performance, the Huawei Nova 2 is a fantastic choice. This Huawei phone is designed for selfie lovers and social media aficionados who want to take their smartphone photography game to the next level. Here’s a rundown of the Huawei Nova 2 specs and features.

Sleek Design

The Huawei Nova 2 sports a sleek metal unibody with a matte finish on the back side and a glossy feel on the sides. On the Nova 2’s front panel, there is a 5-inch display that is topped with a 2.5D glass and a slightly curvy design on the edges. On the back of this Huawei mobile phone, expect to find two cameras and a fingerprint sensor. There is also a SIM slot that is situated on the left side, as well as volume and power buttons on the right side.

Impressive Display and Speaker

Much like the Huawei Nova Lite, the Nova 2’s 5-inch display comes with a 1920x1080 Full HD resolution and a 443 PPI (Pixel Per Inch) density. Its screen is topped with an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel that provides 16 million colors, which further enhances your viewing experience.

Aside from providing great visuals, the Huawei Nova 2 offers an awesome audio experience; thanks to its impressive speaker that is found on the bottom of the device. The speaker comes with a Listen Sound Algorithm that makes a theatre-like sound quality, which you won’t hear from other phone speakers.

Awesome Image Quality

Huawei integrated two cameras at the back of the Nova 2 and one at the front. The primary cameras on the back are a 12-MP sensor for wide-angle shots and an 8-MP camera for close-up images. The 12-MP sensor enables you to capture stunning scenery photos, thanks to its f/1.8 aperture and high ISO. Meanwhile, the 8-MP front sensor wields a 2x optical zoom and a f/2.4 aperture – both enhance the quality of close-up shots. As for the Nova 2’s front camera, it comes with a 20-MP resolution and a special filter that enhances the image quality of selfies through the camera app.

Capable Hardware and Decent Battery Life

The Huawei Nova 2’s entry-level variant is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64-GB storage capacity which can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card. Under its hood lies an octa-core chip, namely the Kirin 659, which is clocked at 2.36 GHz and 1.7 GHz. There’s also a Mali-T830 GPU that provides great visuals for games and apps. In the battery department, the Nova 2 comes with a 2950 mAh battery which can last for many hours with average use.
