Lenovo Ideapad 300 Philippines: Affordability and Performance

Lenovo, with their signature black on black carbon fiber material overall design, has given the world a wide variety of laptops to choose from. Racking up powerful ones to affordable ones (without sacrificing too much specs), the Lenovo Ideapad 300 sports a spot right in between of being powerful and affordable. Weighing in at 2kg (4.63 pounds), the Lenovo Ideapad 300 is of 23.44mm (0.92 inches) and would not trouble you too much while carrying it around—provided that you have a reasonably new laptop carrying bag.

You will get a HD display that can be configured up to Full HD. Housing this display an upper panel that connects to the lower panel via a flat plastic hinge that covers most of the middle part of the laptop. Though not as attractive as dual metallic hinges of premium Lenovo laptops, the hinge on the Lenovo Ideapad 300 looks smooth and is sturdy on its own. With this hinge, you are also available to bend the screen back 180-degrees. The keyboard is of standard Lenovo flair and coupled with the metallic TrackPad that performs smoothly and accurately, you are getting a decent laptop to use and handle. Now what about the performance of the Lenovo Ideapad 300? With an Intel Braswell Celeron Processor, 2GB RAM, and 128GB of storage, the Lenovo Ideapad 300 is a decently performing laptop that could be used for both office work and for leisure. If you are turned off by the seemingly low specs of this laptop, it is available to be upgraded to embody an Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, 8GB RAM, and 1TB of data storage. Furthermore, you can get up to 4 hours of video playback on this. Though not the very best in manners of battery life, you can expect to be moving around with it for a time.

Should You Own It?

If you are directing your money to invest on a solid laptop that has decent specs and performs well on its own along with the availability for upgrades, then the Lenovo Ideapad 300 is the perfect laptop for you to own. It’s quite evident that these days, having specs as low as the factory settings for this laptop is unattractive but having the option for it to upgrade to be faster and being able to store more data could be a strong selling point for this laptop.
