At first glance, you can instantly say that this tablet is built to last. Its external build is sturdy despite carrying a bit of an extra weight and some bezel, while on the inside it runs with a very solid MediaTek MT8382 chipset, equipped with a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor and a 1GB worth of RAM. And on board is its Mali 450 MP4 GPU which could support a mild to moderate graphic heavy applications and games. Though not really a power player, these specs are already more than enough to allow its users to experience a flawless interface especially for browsing, social media, or simple gaming.
The Lenovo Tab 2,when turned on, will greet you with its 7 inch IPS LCD display, similar to the Lenovo Tab 2 A7, which is smaller than the one on Lenovo Tab 10. It’s not as pixel-rich as other devices in the upper end of the spectrum, but 1024 x 600 pixels with a pixel density of 170 pixels per inch is nonetheless satisfying enough in terms of picture detail and quality. The screen is also equipped with a light sensor, making it easier to adjust under bright environments or under direct sunlight. Though it sunlight legibility is not top notch, it is highly tolerable, besides, using your smartphone while under the sun is not really a practice that most people do nowadays.
The main purpose of tablets is to provide a downsized version of a desktop experience, and apparently, the Lenovo Tab 2can provide that somehow. The browsing experience is surely one of the strongest points of this device, so as its audio and video capability. When it comes to gaming, platform games such as candy crush, clash of clans, plants vs zombies, and all other games of that league will surely work perfectly on this device.
On the other hand, since the Lenovo Tab 2 is more focused on providing a downsized desktop experience, it left its photography department with a 2MP main camera and VGA for the front camera. It is understandable, though, because the camera is not the strongest feature of almost all tablets, instead it focused more on providing a rich multimedia, productivity, and browsing experience.
One of the best things about the Lenovo Tab 2 is its built-in storage which is 16GB. Definitely, this can satisfy your needs for memory to hoard your favorite photos, videos, songs, or games. If that’s not enough, you’re more than free to expand its memory by sliding in a microSD card into its expandable storage slot.
