LG G6 Specs, Price, and Review - Philippines

LG G6 - A flagship smartphone worth the investment

Being the successor to the LG G5, the LG G6 retains some of the marquee features of its predecessor, at the same time comes with a new set of specifications that sets it apart from other devices. It boasts an unorthodox QHD+ display, a quad-core Snapdragon 821 chip, and an expandable 128GB internal storage. Here is a rundown of its specs and features.

Sleek, sturdy frame

The LG G6 comes with a sturdy frame compared to G5’s light, plasticky metal. The back panel of the smartphone utilizes the Gorilla Glass 5 with a Gorilla Glass 3 pane that covers the screen. On top of that, there is a band of aluminum that encircles the phone. Since LG removed the slide-out battery mechanism, the LG G6 now has an IP68 dust and water-resistant coating.

Improved viewing experience

Sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio display, the LG G6 offers a great viewing experience that also comes with improved audio, video, and more. With its 5.7-inch IPS LCD panel that sports a 2,880 x 1,440p resolution, you can expect vibrant and crisp visuals and texts. It is also well-suited for those who enjoy multitasking. On top of that, the screen supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 for high-resolution videos.

Flexible photo options with the dual camera

With its dual 13-MP camera, the normal and wide-angle sensors work together to produce images with impressive image quality. The main camera unit features a f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and phase-detection autofocus. It snaps crisp and vibrant photos in optimal lighting conditions. When it comes to the camera app, it instantly previews photos on one side of the screen while a live view is displayed on the other.

Quick charge with Qualcomm 3.0 tech

Neither small nor massive, the 3,300 mAh battery on the LG G6 is actually larger compared to its competitors. Although swapping batteries on this non-removable phone is not an option, the Qualcomm 3.0 tech helps to charge your phone in a jiffy. Certain models of the phone come with a built-in wireless charging support.

Stunning user interface

Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, the LG G6 is considerably the only smartphone from the brand that uses the latest version of the UI. Natural and vivid colors can be seen throughout many of the apps with its set of wallpapers. You’ll notice a lot of LG’s apps that feature a grid-like setup. This is due to the unique screen size where the interface can be divided into two grid squares. What makes the UI stand out a little bit more is LG’s update icons for better uniformity, background folders with rounded corners, and minor touches here and there.
