LG G7 Philippines: Specs, Release Date, and News

LG G7 ThinQ is Launching Next Month with a Dedicated Bixby Button

While LG’s latest flagship phone, the LG G7 ThinQ, is soon to be officially announced next month, rumors regarding its specs no longer surprise fans, as they have been floating around the internet since MWC 2018. But if you want to know what’s in store for this device, here’s what you can expect from it.

Release Date

LG announced that they will unveil the LG G7 phone in New York and Seoul on May 2. Now that its launch date is set in stone, it’s expected that the G7 ThinQ will hit store shelves in the Philippines later in May.

Based on the renders supplied by Android Headlines, the LG G7 will sport a premium design like the LG V30. It will come in five colors – raspberry rose, Aurora black, Moroccan blue, platinum grey, and Moroccan Blue (matte). On the back of the device, you will find dual cameras and a fingerprint sensor. What’s more, the LG 7 might come with a dedicated Bixby button situated on the left side from the power button. Although Samsung had it first in the Galaxy S8, having the Bixby button incorporated in the G7 ThinQ is definitely an interesting move, as it would be the first device in the series to have such feature.

Since 2017, large displays have been one of the biggest trends of flagship phones, with most devices sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio. While it’s not clear what the LG G7’s display size will be, rumors suggest that it may come with a 6.1-inch display. Aside from that, the device will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio and a Quad HD+ resolution.

Over the last two years, LG has had an impressive track record when it comes to the camera performance of their devices. So, it’s expected that the LG 7 to follow suit, with some AI improvements to its camera software. Its 16-MP dual cameras are composed of a standards lens and a wide-angle lens; the former will come with a 107-degree field of view, while the latter will feature a f/1.6 aperture. Much like the LG G6, the LG 7 camera will have an optical image stabilization, ISO, phase detection autofocus, manual mode, exposure, and white balance.

Meanwhile, the LG G7’s front snapper will come with a portrait mode, which you can apply after you take the shot. Other features you can expect on the front camera include 3D camera stickers and live photos.

The LG G7 phone is said to run the all-new Snapdragon 845. Much like its predecessor, the LG V30S, the LG 7 is expected to be equipped with advanced AI technologies, such as the Voice AI that responds to users’ voice commands. A 4 GB RAM and a 32 GB internal storage with micro SD support are among the internals you will find on the LG G7. When it comes to the battery capacity, the LG G7 phone is said to feature a 3300-mAh capacity similar to the LG G6 and LG V30.
