Motorola Moto C Plus: Premium Phone Experience at a Budget Price

After Lenovo completed its acquisition of the Motorola Mobility, it started banking on Moto’s brand name to create a range of phones that target budget-conscious consumers. Now, Lenovo has developed the Motorola Moto C range which features very affordable mobile phones, one of which is in the form of the Moto C Plus. The Moto C Plus is the beefed-up version of the core Moto C phone which boasts a 4000-mAh battery capacity, dual SIM 4G connectivity, and a brilliant display with HD resolution.

Sturdy Chassis and Solid Design

On the front, the Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch display with a neat “Moto” inscription, a selfie snapper, LED flash, 3.5 mm jack, and a set of capacitive buttons. It has a different design language from other Moto C phones which either had on-screen keys or provided a physical home button that also works as a fingerprint scanner. For this reason, the Moto C Plus is one of the best Motorola phones in the C range that looks quite different from its predecessors. In terms of build quality, this smartphone harnesses plastic material for its housing which feels sturdy in the hands. On the back, you’ll find the primary camera and the LED flash – which are both situated in a circular module that makes it unique.

HD Display

Display-wise, the Motorola Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch screen with an HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Its display is topped with a TFT panel to make sure impressive color reproduction and crisp visuals. You can also fine-tune the brightness levels of the display to make it legible under bright environments.

Capable Set of Cameras

When it comes to the camera, the Moto C Plus is equipped with an 8-MP sensor at the back and a 2 MP front camera. You will find an LED flash at the front as well to aid you in shooting your subjects under low light. With the Moto C Plus main camera, you can adjust the focus, exposure, HDR, switch to the selfie snapper, and toggle the self-timer. You can also record videos at 720 p resolution videos with decent quality. As for the image quality, the Moto C Plus can deliver images with good detail, especially in daylight conditions. With the HDR mode, the smartphone shoots great images, while with close-up shots, it produces decent images.

Smooth Performance

The Motorola Moto C Plus runs on MediaTek MT6737 chip with four cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. This is coupled with 2-GB RAM, so you can easily handle day-to-day tasks. Opening and switching between apps offer you a smooth experience, unlike many other smartphones in the budget segment. In terms of gaming, the Moto C Plus can run casual and mid-level titles with ease. You can download your favorite apps and games and save it on its 16-GB built-in storage space which you can further expand up to 32 GB.
