Vivo S1 Price and Specs

Vivo S1 Review: A Premium Mid-ranger

  • Premium design
  • Sizeable AMOLED screen
  • Decent front camera
  • Good battery life for the price
  • Large RAM and storage
  • Smooth performance

  • Poor camera performance in low light

The Vivo S1 boasts a triple rear camera setup with wide, ultra-wide, and depth sensors that are quite decent when compared to other mid-range smartphones. Besides that, let’s see what else the Vivo S1 can offer in our brief review below.

The Vivo S1 comes with thin bezels, smooth curved edges, and a premium design. It is clad in a glass-plastic chassis that boasts a nice finish. With a dimension of 159.5 x 75.2 x 8.1 mm, it’s a large device with smooth curved edges.

With a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display, 1080 x 2340px resolution, and a pixel density of 404PPI, the Vivo S1 offers crisp and vibrant visuals, with colors popping just right. It offers good viewing angles and is legible enough under the sun.

The 16 MP f/1.8 wide, 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, 2 MP f/2.4 depth rear cameras on the Vivo S1 can take crisp and vibrant shots when shooting outdoors. However, in low light, image quality is subpar with some noticeable noise.

The Vivo S1 has a decent 32 MP f/2.0 front camera that produces vibrant and crisp selfies. As for camera modes, the phone is packed with LED flash, HDR, and Panorama.

The Vivo S1 is powered by a Mediatek MT6768 Helio P65 octa-core chipset that works with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It can handle most day-to-day tasks with ease, including moderate internet and social media browsing.

When it comes to connectivity features, the Vivo S1 is packed with quite a few yet handy ones like Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, hotspot, dual-SIM, and GPS.

Battery Life

With a moderate level of phone use, the Vivo S1 can last all day on a single charge. In terms of charging, it will take around two hours to charge completely from empty to full. This is slightly better than some other phones in the mid-range segment.
