Xiaomi Redmi 4X – The iPhone Killer

Xiaomi is dubbed the iPhone Killer. But you won’t be able to understand what that means until you have met the Xiaomi Redmi 4X. At one glance, you may mistake it for an iPhone 6. It comes in a smooth plastic case with an almost bezzleless touchscreen. With a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone, you find unparalleled security and ease in unlocking this magnificent gadget. With a touchscreen of 5 inches in size, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X fits neatly into your palm. The rear camera is a 13MP camera that does the job of taking clear pictures although video tends to be a little shaky. Other features include f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. A 5MP front camera captures your selfies without fuss.

A small phone, big on features

Here’s the best part about the 4X – its battery life. Said to be able to go up to 4 days on light usage without charging and up to 2 days with moderate use, the Redmi 4X is incredibly endowed when it comes to battery life. It also comes with a powerful Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex A53 processor and a Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 chipset. It runs Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) on an Adreno 505 GPU. These stats set the 4X up for speed and a smooth transition between programs and apps.

As for storage, you get a choice of 2GB, 3GB or 4GB RAM for each variant while internal storage comes in at 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Of course, the price escalates with each variant size. The standard features of today’s smartphones are also present in the 4X. You get A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, SMS, MMS, Email, IM, and a built-in browser. All these features work hand in hand with the Xiaomi 4X’s fast performance and fluid capacity.

For protection, the exoskeleton of the 4X comes with a durable Corning Gorilla Glass protection, but it is advisable to add on a tempered glass screen protector to bring rigidity and sturdy protection. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X is a great budget phone to have. For its low price, you get much more than you paid for. Competing with the big boys in the smartphone market, you can be sure that your 4X will shine with every use. The Xiaomi Redmi 4X is now available online in the Philippines.
