Last year, ZTE Max Pro impressed everyone with its features and price. The same goes for this year with the Max XL. It follows the formula of the ZTE Max Pro with slight improvements and keeps the shoestring price. The Max XL is just 1/8 the price of the Samsung Galaxy S8 but you already get a fingerprint sensor, a capacious 3,990 mAh battery, and a pre-installed Android Nougat operating system. Although there’s no waterproof technology and NFC, the Max XL is already a decent mid-range phone for those who want to do just the basics.
As a follow-up to last year’s ZTE Blade V7, the Blade V8 only shows slight improvements but still keeps many features found on current flagship smartphones for a shoestring price tag. The Blade V8 appears to be black on the front with well-polished aluminum trimmings and gray sides. The front façade also sports an 8 MP front snapper found on the upper right-hand side. On the left, beside the front-facing camera is the earpiece speaker. The Blade V8 also follows the bezel-less trend found on high-end flagship smartphones as it has very thin edges. It also has a physical home button which also functions as a fingerprint scanner. Its other navigation buttons are capacitive which are found beside the home button. They cast small round glows under the glass.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is the 'lite' version of the larger ZTE Nubia Z9, but having the Mini moniker doesn't make the smartphone any less in terms of performance and features. It is still an extremely capable smartphone, and at a price point that goes well below most other smartphones, you cannot really complain about anything else.
Design is often the thing we all first take note of when it comes to smartphones – or anything else, for that matter. The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini has been designed in a way as to make its gorgeous Full High Definition (1080p resolution) 5-inch display stand out front and center to the user; the display is further protected by utilizing the tough Corning Gorilla Glass III. The curved frames sit gently in your palms and easily slide out of your pocket when you need the smartphone; it is also lightweight.
Smartphone cameras are an important part of a smartphone's array of features today; the smartphone is probably used more commonly than a digital compact camera for photography. Which is why the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini has great features to let you take great photographs and videos like a professional. Armed with a great rear-facing 16 megapixel camera with 6P Blue glass lens and an aperture of f/2.0, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is no slouch in the imaging department. Photographs and videos are produced with superior clarity and a richness in color that is never seen before.
On the front sits the 8 megapixel front-facing camera that allows you to capture the best selfies you will ever have. A back-illuminated image sensor with enhanced light metering and white control allows you to reproduce natural looking selfies with instantaneously. Just smile and the camera will do the job.
Inside of the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini sits the efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor. It is a very capable processor that breezes through almost every single task you can throw at it, and it is very efficient in its power consumption, using up as little power as possible to deliver optimal performance. Your games are powered by an Adreno 405 GPU which delivers fluid and immersive graphics on all your games. Pair this set of powerful specifications with 2GB of RAM and an expandable internal storage (up to 128GB), and you've got a powerful smartphone in your palm.
