Encelade 1789 Encelade Cufflinks Gyro 1797
Encelade cufflinks are unique and exclusive. Everything about them has been conceived to stand out : - patented design which required two years of research - technical movement with 360° rotation - minimum of 34 components in each pair of cufflinks - the world’s smallest ball bearings (silent and extremely high quality with a maximum capacity of 150,000 revolutions per minute!) - Haute Horlogerie finishing (hand bevelling, polishing and sanding) - limited editions Since luxury lies in the details, the brand’s two founders have also designed and created a stunning aluminium case to hold Encelade 1789 cufflinks. If you look carefully at the top of this case, you will see the brand’s philosophy : "To innovate, you have to break the rules" The two cousins who founded the ENCELADE brand each have their own gyroscope. It was this object, straight from their childhood, that led them to conceive and develop the first gyroscopic cufflink in the world (patented design), comprising 56 elements and no less than 12 ball bearings (a record). It took two years of development and testing to create this technically sophisticated accessory… crafted for endless delight. Enjoy being a child again! REFERENCE : 1797 Patented design Material : Stainless Steel 316 L, Black PVD, red gold PVD Details : Hand-assembled and bevelled, sanded, and polished to a satin sheen Limited Edition Warranty : 2 years This family philosophy, which comes from the grandfather of the brand’s two founders, is behind the creation of ENCELADE, a company created by two cousins, and specialising in the manufacture of innovative and exclusive cufflinks. The two cousins worked to produce an innovative, highly ingenious and extremely reliable design, which is also delightfully easy to wear. The technology is something new for cufflinks, involving up to 42 components. ENCELADE is the French name for Enceladus, one of Saturn’s moons, which was discovered in 1789, the year of the French Revolution. The date of the moon’s discovery was the determining factor in the choice of the name for the brand, since the two cousins, who are also French, have revolutionised the concept of the cufflink. Enceladus orbits Saturn within its outermost ring, the E ring. A similar ring concept has been retained in the creation of these cufflinks, with multiple rings rotating around each other thanks to a unique ball bearing system inspired by the Haute Horlogerie philosophy. These cufflinks are the result of more than two years of research and design work. The outcome is spectacular, with a design which has been patented in most countries of the world – a rare feat in this field. Available in steel (with or without PVD plating), or in 18-‐carat gold, with or without diamonds, these cufflinks are proof that innovation is the engine of success. The extreme care with which these pieces are made is worthy of the Haute Horlogerie Foundation, with hand-‐ bevelled details and a polished, sandblasted finish. The ball bearings used (between eight and twelve per pair of cufflinks – a record for this type of product) are among the smallest in the world. They are completely silent (a mark of extraordinarily high quality), with a maximum rotation capacity in the region of 150,000 revolutions per minute! The pleasure of wearing ENCELADE will last as for as long as Enceladus continues to orbit in space. A ‘universal’ pleasure!
