4 Tips and Tricks to Get the Most Out of your PlayStation Console
The Light Bar
One of the most notable features of the PlayStation 4’s Dual Shock controller is its light bar on the top. In case you didn’t know, the reason for it being there is to allow you to recreate Move functionality and to offer developers the chance to use it in gameplay. Also, if you have played Killzone: Shadow Falls, you may notice the light bar changes to different colors which indicate the health of your character. Moreover, you may also see the light bar changes to a different color once there are four gaming controllers attached to a single console, which serves as a color identification.
Reduce the Brightness of the Light Bar
Like many electronic devices in the Philippines, the controller’s battery also runs out of juice. To extend its life, just lower the brightness of the light bar by holding the PS button, choosing Adjust Device, then scrolling down to Brightness of DualShock 4 Light Bar. Finally, select Dim to extend your controller’s battery life.
Switch on the Controller
One of the difficulties that many players encounter with the PlayStation 3 is that the console itself needs to be powered on so the controllers could work. With the PlayStation 4 that is not the case, however, you need to leave the console in Standby mode. Also, if you want to switch the controllers, so the other becomes the primary one, just hit the PS button and select your profile to set the primary controller.
Send screenshots with messages
If you have PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation Vita, you can send one of the screenshots you captured during gameplay. Just press the Share button until you hear chime ring. Then, an icon will show up in the upper-right of your screen. When sending a message along with the screenshot, just enter your message and hit Done. Before sending it, make sure to choose the box to the left. With that, you’ll have the option to send a screenshot.
