From producer Wei Te Sheng and his Seediq Bale star Umin Boya (making his film directorial debut) comes Kano, a rousing tale of courage, beating the odds and good sportsmanship. Based on the inspiring true story of Taiwan's greatest baseball team, Kano chronicles the journey of a small-town high school baseball team from underdogs to champions during the Japanese colonial period. Leading a young cast that includes breakout star Tsao Yu Ning, Nagase Masatoshi (Twilight Samurai) gives a commanding performance as a stern baseball coach who leads and inspires the team into history. Nominated for six Golden Horse Awards (including Best Picture) and the winner of the festival's Audience Award, Kano is an inspiring blockbuster epic about the glory of sports. Kano is set in the 1930s in the city of Chiayi (or Kagi at the time), known for a flourishing agricultural industry. However, the baseball team of Kagi Agriculture and Forestry Public School (abbreviated as "Kano") comprised of students of Taiwanese, aboriginal and Japanese origins suffers from a losing record and a lack of motivation. Newly arrived from Japan to teach bookkeeping at the school, Kondo (Nagase Masatoshi) is recruited to become the team's new coach. A former baseball player who has quit the game for good, Kondo eventually agrees and puts the team on a strict training regimen. Inspired by their new coach's enthusiasm, the boys start winning games with their eyes set on the Koshien tournament, the Holy Grail of Japanese high school baseball. This edition includes making of, audio commentary and trailers. It also comes with a t-shirt.

Doomsday is upon Japan (again) in the thrilling all-star blockbuster 20th Century Boys based on Urasawa Naoki's acclaimed manga. Too big for just one film, 20th Century Boys is being released in three installments over one year's time. The first chapter lays the roots for the visionary trilogy's ambitious tale about a group of friends who emerge as unlikely heroes in the battle against an apocalyptic evil they had unwittingly foretold as children. More than just a good vs. evil doomsday saga, 20th Century Boys makes for a positively epic exercise in filmmaking and storytelling that spans multiple generations and genres, and bites into conspiracy theory, pop culture nostalgia, and spectacular special effects. Helmed by hit-making director Tsutsumi Yukihiko (Memories of Tomorrow), 20th Century Boys is certainly one of the greatest undertakings Japan Cinema has ever seen, with its six billion yen budget and staggeringly long cast list that runs 300 deep. Karasawa Toshiaki (Casshern) leads the ensemble cast that includes Tokiwa Takako (Mamiya Kyodai), Toyokawa Etsushi (The Sinking of Japan), Kagawa Teruyuki (Sukiyaki Western - Django), and Sasaki Kuranosuke (After School). Kenji (Karasawa Toshiaki) used to be a wannabe rocker but, now in his thirties, he's back in his hometown running a convenience store and taking care of his baby niece. All seems quiet and uneventful in Kenji's life, save for the worried whispers about the rise of a cult led by a masked man who calls himself "Friend". The cult's logo seems eerily familiar, as do the news of mysterious deaths and terrorist acts around the world. Back in the summer of 1969, Kenji and his buddies sketched for fun a Book of Prophecy that predicted the world's end. Twenty-eight years later, the scenarios laid out in the Book of Prophecy are coming true one by one, and all fingers point to "Friend". As friends and foes of the past reappear for mankind's last stand, can Kenji fulfill his own prophecy and save the world?

Hong Kong superstars Leslie Cheung and Andy Lau clash in Tsui Hark's big-screen adaptation of the classic TVB drama The Bund! Directed by Poon Man Kit (To Be Number One), the film revisits the dangerous underworld in 1930s Shanghai where heroes and villains fight for power, women, and honor, with Leslie and Andy taking on the roles played by Chow Yun Fat and Ray Lui in the original. Condensing the essence of a TV series into a feature-length movie is certainly no small challenge, and Shanghai Grand has made some daring changes to the plots and characters that make it fresh even for fans of the 1980 series. Having Tung Wai onboard as action choreographer ensures exciting gunplay action, and the period action drama boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Ning Jing (In the Heat of the Sun), Wu Hsing Kuo (Green Snake), Lau Shun, singer Amanda Lee, and Korean actor Jung Woo Sung (Reign of Assassins). Enlisted in Japanese-occupied Taiwan, patriotic young man Hui Man Keung (Leslie Cheung) is dispatched to fight in the northeastern China. In a mission gone awry, he barely escapes from an ambush that leaves all of his fellow rebels dead, only to be saved in Shanghai by small-time gangster Ding Lik (Andy Lau). The two become sworn brothers, joining hands in a bid to make a name for themselves in the gang world of Shanghai. However, their friendship is tested when both Lik and Keung fall for Fung Ching Ching (Ning Jing), the daughter of powerful tycoon Fung King Yiu (Wu Hsing Kuo). A ruthless crime lord in secret, Fung manipulates the two rising stars into working for him. But when Keung finds out that Fung is the man behind the ambush on the anti-Japanese rebels, he must choose between his love for Ching Ching and his loyalty to the fallen comrades...

Producer Tsui Hark and director Ching Siu Tung join forces for A Chinese Ghost Story, a wildly entertaining supernatural action-comedy-romance-horror-swordplay film that's as classic as Hong Kong Cinema gets! Ning (Leslie Cheung) is a mousy tax collector who spends a night in a supposedly haunted villa. Instead of obviously grotesque creatures, Ning meets an enchanting maiden named Sian (the ethereal Joey Wang). But Sian is a ghost bound to the netherworld, and worse, her master is a soul-sucking tree demon with an extremely long tongue! Ning is slated to become the demon's next meal, but some humanity remaining in Sian compels her to keep him alive. Romance blossoms, and Ning resolves to help Sian. He even enlists the aid of a drunken Taoist ghostbuster (Wu Ma) to save Sian and rout the evil demon. But even if the duo succeeds, everlasting love may be only a fantasy...A winning combination of dizzying camerawork, gorgeous cinematography, beautiful sets and costumes, energetic action, and clever comedy has made A Chinese Ghost Story a worldwide audience favorite, and easily one of the most essential Hong Kong movies around. Ching Siu Tung finds the right balance of disparate elements to please both thrill-seekers and cinema lovers, and the result is a truly enjoyable motion picture with literally something for everyone! Followed by equally enjoyable sequels, A Chinese Ghost Story 2 and A Chinese Ghost Story 3.

A box office hit in Korea, Love Fiction realistically follows the stages of a relationship, from love at first sight and courtship to affection and fallout. Ha Jung Woo (Yellow Sea) and Kong Hyo Jin (Crush and Blush) star in this charming yet biting romantic comedy directed by Jeon Gye Soo (Midnight Ballad for Ghost Theater). Told mainly from the perspective of Ha Jung Woo's struggling novelist, the film reveals what goes on inside the oft-immature male mind through narrative voice-over and amusing noir parodies of his detective novel alter ego and the mysterious women in his life. Rising actress Yoo In Na (Secret Garden) also co-stars as the ex-girlfriend. Failed writer Jool Wol (Ha Jung Woo) needs romance in his life so he can have inspiration for his novel. At a party in Berlin, he falls head over heels for film distributor Hee Jin (Kong Hyo Jin). From her straight-talking manner to her interest in nude photography, Hee Jin walks to a different beat, and Jool Wol is completely smitten. With Hee Jin as his muse, he's also finally over his writer's block. But the rosy relationship begins to go downhill when Jool Wol realizes Hee Jin isn't as perfect as he imagined.

Known in the west as Return of the Dragon, Bruce Lee's The Way of the Dragon is another classic martial arts film featuring the Dragon at the peak of his powers! Bruce Lee is Tang Lung, a Hong Kong expatriate in Italy who gets the opportunity to use his fists when local thugs begin muscling in on the local Chinese restaurant. It's a simple exchange: the thugs set foot in the restaurant, and Tang Lung cuts loose with a flurry of kicks and punches designed to inflict the maximum amount of damage with the minimum amount of effort. Then, more fighting ensues. The Way of the Dragon co-stars popular starlet Nora Miao, and is a true tour-de-force for Bruce Lee. Not only did he star in the film, but he also wrote, produced, and directed - and this is in addition to his expected action choreography duties. The results of his labor are a wildly entertaining martial arts film that's sure to make kung-fu fans of all ages grin from ear-to-ear. Most famously, The Way of the Dragon features a dramatic showdown between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris in the confines of Rome's ancient Colosseum!

Well-known Hong Kong action director Ma Yuk Sing (The Warlords) choreographed the action scenes of the film. A devastating financial crisis serves as the backdrop to the prologue of the story, in which a billionaire (Law Ka Ying), afraid of losing everything, encodes the details of a Swiss bank account containing billions of US dollars on a crystal USB drive. The drive requires two passwords, or the twins' code, to unlock its contents. He gives the USB drive to his daughter, Lin Dan (Yang Yu Mei), as a necklace pendant. However, Lin Dan dies in a mysterious car accident and the fortune is presumed lost. Thus begins a dangerous treasure hunt involving many people with different motives, including a woman who looks identical to the dead Lin Dan.

Follow Lau Ching Wan and Louis Koo on a hilarious quest for the perfect bra! Co-starring Carina Lau and Gigi Leung, La Brassiere is arguably the most successful film from the creative partnership forged by co-director Patrick Leung and writer-director Chan Hing Ka, who followed the 2001 romantic comedy blockbuster with the popular sequel Mighty Baby a year later. The story takes place in an international bra company, which has initiated a groundbreaking project to introduce a line of lingerie products envisioned by male designers. In response, the Hong Kong branch's CEO Samantha (Carina Lau) hires Johnny (Lau Ching Wan) and Wayne (Louis Koo) to lead the new venture to design the ultimate bra, a decision that doesn't sit well with senior designer Lena (Gigi Leung). Written and produced by Wong Jing, breezy gangster actioner Bullet & Brain is the kind of entertaining genre hodgepodge that only Hong Kong can do so well. At times serious, at times silly, this fast-paced film is anchored with charismatic performances from Best Actor trio Eric Tsang, Anthony Wong, and Francis Ng. Wong and Ng, in particular, get to strut their stuff as the opaquely cool titular outlaws, Bullet and Brain. The veterans lead the way for their younger co-stars - Alex Fong (Love is Not All Around) and newcomer actresses Tiffany Tang, Liu Yang, and Liu Yuan Yuan - who help bring some youthful energy to the proceedings. Helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Keung Kwok Man, Bullet & Brain rolls action, drama, comedy, and romance together into a tight, unpredictable, and enjoyable roller coaster of a movie. Triad boss Principal meets an untimely demise when his protege Winston (Andrew Wu) betrays him. Before his death, he left his Swiss bank account password to his granddaughter Rain (Tiffany Tang), who now becomes Winston's next target. Winston needs the money to cut a deal with another mob boss (Eric Tsang), and he's willing to use any means to get it. Rookie cop Fei (Alex Fong) is assigned to protect Rain, but he's more bumbling than brave and both are soon in deep waters with Winston's gang on the hunt. Luckily, the Principal also left Rain a torn bill that if sent out would bring the aid of his old friends, legendary criminals Bullet (Francis Ng) and Brain (Anthony Wong). The sharp-minded, sharp-shooting duo haven't been seen in years, but they're back with guns a-blazing to save Rain. The only problem: they vowed years ago to never kill or lie again.

From Takashi Yamazaki, the visionary director behind Juvenille and the sci-fi hit, Returner, comes Always - Sunset On Third Street. No film in 2005 had a higher profile in Japan than Always, which was reflected when it scooped twelve out of a possible thirteen awards at the Japanese Academy Awards in March 2006. The film uses a combination of elaborately constructed sets and cutting edge CGI work to recreate Tokyo in the 1950s. It is a heartfelt, nostalgic look back at a time when the country was changing and developing, soon to experience an economic boom that would forever alter Japanese culture.

Action-comedy superstar Jackie Chan is in fine comic form in Dragon Lord an early eighties showcase for the budding star that was directed by Chan himself! Jackie Chan is Lung, a playful and mischievous youth who spends his days hanging around with his pal Chin (Mars), foolishly pursuing women, and engaging in sports instead of going to school like he should be doing. But Lung and Chin are drawn into a devious plot to smuggle Chinese treasures to foreign lands, leading to numerous chases, escapes, and finally a barn brawl that's choreographed in vintage Jackie Chan style! A young and delightfully spry Jackie Chan makes Dragon Lord an early gem in the superstar's legendary career. Some of Chan's most impressive stuntwork is featured here, along with the beginnings of his trademark action-comedy style. But there are martial arts too, and also the winning Jackie Chan comic charm, which was evident even during the early eighties. Dragon Lord isn't just an entertaining action-comedy, but also an essential film in Jackie Chan's already packed library of classics!

Few Taiwan films are more anticipated than Wei Te Sheng's 2011 historical epic Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale, based on the true story of the 1930 Wushe Incident, when the aboriginal Seediq peoples rebelled against Japanese imperialist forces. Topping the critical and commercial success of Cape No. 7 would be difficult for Wei Te Sheng, but Taiwan's top-grossing director meets the challenge head-on with this ambitious and powerful two-part epic. Produced by John Woo, Seediq Bale required US$25 million for its lush period detail and riveting action sequences, making it the biggest endeavor in the history of Taiwan cinema. Breaking opening day records, the sweeping blockbuster was Taiwan's highest-grossing homegrown film of 2011 and the winner of Best Film at the 48th Golden Horse Awards. Seediq Bale Part 1 sows the seeds for the film's powerful final conflict, depicting how the Seediq people are demoralized and finally reborn by their continued subjugation by the Japanese. Stripped of their native hunting grounds and forced to work deforesting the very mountains they called home, the rival Seediq tribes rallied together and violently rose up against years of Japanese repression in the 1930 Wushe Incident. Shown in competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, Seediq Bale was shot primarily in the Seediq language, with some Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Japanese. Seediq priest Lin Ching Tai stars as the leader of the revolt, legendary warrior Mona Rudao, whose image is on Taiwan's 20NT coin today. Japanese actor Ando Masanobu (The Butcher, The Chef & The Swordsman), television actor and director Umin Boya, Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor winner Bokeh Kosang, Cape No. 7's Tanaka Chie, and singers Landy Wen, Irene Luo, and Vivian Hsu (Hot Summer Days) are among the film's large ensemble cast of name stars and non-professional actors. This release includes Part I of Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale and an interview with John Woo and Wei Te Sheng.

They just keep coming! Aces Go Places 4 brings back the original cast for more silly escapades and wacky buddy comedy - only this time their foe is Toht (Ronald Lacey) from Raiders of the Lost Ark! A nefarious international cartel is after a super soldier formula, the secret of which may lie with King Kong (Sam Hui). Meanwhile, Kodojak (Karl Maka) is still experiencing domestic weirdness with wife "Hot Tongue" Ho (Sylvia Chang) and son Baldy Jr. (Cyrus Wong). However, when the bad guys show up, they take Hot Tongue hostage, meaning King Kong, Kodojak, and the surprisingly athletic Baldy Jr. must head to New Zealand to rescue Hot Tongue and take down Toht. There's even time for King Kong to romance Sally (Sally Yeh), and for Baldy Jr. to perform some surprisingly dangerous-looking stuntwork. Featuring the same sublime actor chemistry and supreme energetic silliness of the previous three films, Aces Go Places 4 is surefire comic fun! Directed by Ringo Lam.

International action star Jackie Chan teams up with late singer Anita Mui to present an extravagant action comedy titled The Canton Godfather. Jackie received a Best Actor nomination at the 9th Hong Kong Film Awards, and with the help of his team, his top-notch martial arts won the Best Action Choreography award. He demonstrated the complexity of Hong Kong action cinema with plenty of innovative fighting scenes in The Canton Godfather. Charismatic singer Anita Mui, in this rare collaboration with Jackie Chan, plays a nightclub singer and spices up the movie with splendid dancing and enchanting songs. This film will surely amuse the audience as much as now it did in 1989. Jackie Chan plays a country boy who has just arrived in a big city in the 1930s. Everything starts to change after he buys flowers from Lady Rose (Gua Ah Lei). With his superb fighting skills, he becomes a triad leader in a miraculously short period. He then opens a nightclub and grooms a talented girl (Anita Mui) into a superstar. The two fall in love with each other and help Lady Rose with her daughter (Gloria Yip) to marry a millionaire. Everything just happens like a miracle!

Despite making a splash in 1999 with Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, Okiura Hiroyuki stepped away from the director's chair for over a decade. Now, he has finally reunited with Production I.G. with A Letter to Momo, a gentle fantasy comedy about a teenage girl s friendship with three kind goblins. The creator of the original story concept and the film's storyboards, Okiura worked closely with illustrator Ando Masashi (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) and art director Ono Hiroshi (Kiki's Delivery Service) on the film's hand-drawn animation design. However, A Letter to Momo is also more intimate than the typical Ghibli fantasy, focusing on the bittersweet emotional journey of its heroine to get over the death of her father. After the death of her father, 13-year-old Momo is forced to move to her mother's old family home on Shio Island. Left with only the beginning of an unfinished letter from her father, Momo has been trying to decipher the meaning of the words while secretly resenting herself for their final argument before his death. One day, Momo starts to notice things going missing and strange noises around the house. During her investigation, she discovers that the noises are caused by three goblins, led by Iwa (voiced by Nishi Toshiyuki). After getting over her initial fear of the three, they end up forming a special friendship that helps Momo get over her grief.

One of Anita Mui's most acclaimed performances is the title role in Kawashima Yoshiko, a sweeping 1990 biopic about the life and death of the Manchurian princess executed as a Japanese agent in 1948. Based on a book by acclaimed author Lilian Lee (Farewell my Concubine, Green Snake) and costarring the one and only Andy Lau, Kawashima Yoshiko carries a lot of cinematic clout, not the least of which is Mui's nuanced portrayal of one of the most complicated and controversial figures of modern Chinese history. Kawashima was reviled as a ruthless traitor for much of the twentieth century, but this thoughtful film demands a rethinking of the tragic circumstances that led the last Chinese princess - and her country - down the road to ruin. Born less than five years before the fall of the Qing dynasty, Princess Dongzhen grows up in Japan, where she is indoctrinated into the emerging fascist regime. After being callously forced into a political marriage to a Mongolian prince, Dongzhen - now called Kawashima Yoshiko - swears to take vengeance on the world that discarded her. As an agent for the Japanese, Kawashima ruthlessly sets out to re-establish the Manchurian royal family, eventually becoming a general in the Imperial Japanese army. Unleashing a bloody reign of terror on her former countrymen, Kawashima succeeds in securing her place in history, but as the war draws towards its inevitable conclusion, the former princess finds herself trapped in a deadly web of her own devising.

Third time's the charm as the Kung Fu Mahjong franchise returns for another round with Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel. Directed by Bosco Lam, the film features the usual suspects - television star Roger Kwok (Square Pegs) who skipped out on the sequel but returns for the third film, kung fu duo Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu, and, of course, writer and producer Wong Jing. Kung Fu Mahjong 3 bears no connection to the previous films save for the cast and the love for the tiles. Roger Kwok is supported by a welcome line-up of faces not usually seen on the big screen including TVB starlet and former Miss Hong Kong Shirley Yeung in her film debut, veteran comedic actor Ha Yu, ATV actress Patricia Liu, and stylish ATV actor Ricky Chan Bo Yuen (Confession of Pain). Comedic mainstays DJ Sammy, Wong Yat Fei, and Nat Chan also wander in for some humorous hijinks. Like the previous two films, Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel is light, energetic, and hilarious, providing plenty of good old harmless fun. As the son of the legendary Uncle Man (Ha Yu), suave mahjong expert Ken (Roger Kwok) is the de-facto successor to his father's mahjong business and gambling title. It seems love is in the air for both father and son, as Uncle Man saunters in with his new young wife Sophie (Patricia Liu) and Ken meets the charming Nancy (Shirley Yeung). The good times quickly run dry though when it turns out that Nancy is a bad luck magnet who brings calamity to all she comes in contact with. Stricken with some serious bad luck, Ken just can't stop losing. Meanwhile, the cunning Sophie, working in cahoots with rival Bowie (Ricky Chan), tries to usurp the family business by challenging Ken to a high-stakes mahjong match. Can Ken overcome his losing streak in time to save the business?
