Hong Kong superstars Leslie Cheung and Andy Lau clash in Tsui Hark's big-screen adaptation of the classic TVB drama The Bund! Directed by Poon Man Kit (To Be Number One), the film revisits the dangerous underworld in 1930s Shanghai where heroes and villains fight for power, women, and honor, with Leslie and Andy taking on the roles played by Chow Yun Fat and Ray Lui in the original. Condensing the essence of a TV series into a feature-length movie is certainly no small challenge, and Shanghai Grand has made some daring changes to the plots and characters that make it fresh even for fans of the 1980 series. Having Tung Wai onboard as action choreographer ensures exciting gunplay action, and the period action drama boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Ning Jing (In the Heat of the Sun), Wu Hsing Kuo (Green Snake), Lau Shun, singer Amanda Lee, and Korean actor Jung Woo Sung (Reign of Assassins). Enlisted in Japanese-occupied Taiwan, patriotic young man Hui Man Keung (Leslie Cheung) is dispatched to fight in the northeastern China. In a mission gone awry, he barely escapes from an ambush that leaves all of his fellow rebels dead, only to be saved in Shanghai by small-time gangster Ding Lik (Andy Lau). The two become sworn brothers, joining hands in a bid to make a name for themselves in the gang world of Shanghai. However, their friendship is tested when both Lik and Keung fall for Fung Ching Ching (Ning Jing), the daughter of powerful tycoon Fung King Yiu (Wu Hsing Kuo). A ruthless crime lord in secret, Fung manipulates the two rising stars into working for him. But when Keung finds out that Fung is the man behind the ambush on the anti-Japanese rebels, he must choose between his love for Ching Ching and his loyalty to the fallen comrades...

Young and Dangerous hero Ekin Cheng breaks the speed limit in the entertaining racing drama The Legend of Speed. Directed by Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs, The Storm Riders), the film stars Cheng as Sky, a rebellious street racer whose cocky demeanor and sometimes brash behavior make him a prime candidate for a fall. Sky receives his comeuppance when a race against ex-con Fung (Simon Yam) results in tragic consequences. Exiled to Thailand, Sky meets his wayward father (Blacky Ko), who helps Sky reconnect to the philosophical side of his racing talent. Reinvigorated and wiser, Sky plans to return to Hong Kong for a rematch with Fung, only to discover that his past has caught up with him, perhaps fatally. Featuring an all-star cast of Hong Kong entertainment stars, including Cecilia Cheung (The Promise), Kelly Lin (After This, Our Exile), Patrick Tam (Beast Cops, and Moses Chan (TVB's Heart of Greed), Legend of Speed features thrilling racing sequences and a cool central performance by Ekin Cheng, whose string of late nineties box-office hits made him Hong Kong's most bankable young actor. The film was a large success, pulling in over HK$19 million at the box office during the Christmas 1999 movie season, paving the way for director Andrew Lau's later racing blockbuster Initial D.

Li is a harried author who pens the serial adventures of Dr. Wai, a grave-robbing adventurer in 1930s China. In his current story, Dr. Wai is chasing a mystical treasure (the "Scripture with No Words"), but must contend with rival grave robbers and dastardly Japanese soldiers. Complicating matters are Dr. Wai's sidekicks (Takeshi Kaneshiro and Charlie Yeung), and a sexy femme fatale (Rosamund Kwan) who may or may not be an ally in his quest. However, back in reality, the author has other - not entirely coincidental - issues: a pending divorce to his estranged wife (also Rosamund Kwan), and a couple of sparring office assistants (also Takeshi Kaneshiro and Charlie Yeung) who insist on writing themselves into the latest Dr. Wai adventures! Hong Kong director Herman Yau contributes to the centennial celebration of the Xinhai Revolution with his period kung fu biopic about late-Qing feminist and revolutionary Qiu Jin, whose heroic exploits were pivotal in bringing about the eventual downfall of the imperial regime in China. The maverick director of The Untold Story has long admired the legendary figure, and his entertaining portrayal of her life story on the silver screen admirably balances the historical drama stuff with exhilarating action scenes choreographed by veteran action director Leung Siu Hung (Ip Man). Yau brings back his The Legend is Born - Ip Man star Crystal Huang in the eponymous role, supported by a star-studded cast including Dennis To, Anthony Wong, Kevin Cheng, Rose Chan, Pat Ha, Lam Suet, Xiong Xinxin, Tsui Tin Yau, Wong Yau Nam, and Lollipop-F's A-wei. When the women of her time had their feet bound to please men, Qiu Jin (Crystal Huang) was already questioning the sexual inequality of feudal traditions. Free-spirited and well-educated, she grew up practicing martial arts and was as well versed in poetry as she was in sword-fighting. When this rebellious girl moved to Beijing with her husband (Kevin Cheng), she witnessed how her country was raided and ravaged by foreign powers. With the encouragement of her neighbor Wu Zhiying (Pat Ha), the wife of righteous magistrate Li Zhongyue (Anthony Wong), Qiu Jin left her family behind to pursue study in Japan. There, she met some like-minded schoolmates who shared her ideals, including revolutionary leader Xu Xilin (Dennis To), and secretly joined his anti-Qing cause. After returning to China, Qiu Jin participated in the uprisings staged by Xu Xilin, leading a small group of hot-blooded students against the armed forces of the corrupt Qing government... Jackie Chan is cop Chan Ka Kui, who's assigned to guard beautiful witness Selina (Brigitte Lin), the girlfriend of evil drug kingpin Chor Yuen. Selina's presence causes some friction between Chan and his petulant girlfriend May (international star Maggie Cheung), but when the bad guys come-a-calling, all that gets left behind. Glass breaks, bones crunch, and anything and everything becomes a weapon in Police Story!A seminal film even in Jackie Chan's incredibly action-packed filmography, Police Story redefined action films with its undeniably creative and exquisitely choreographed mayhem. Unbelievable stunts and breathtaking set-pieces set the tone in this award-winning film, which earned a Best Picture award at the 5th Annual Hong Kong Film Awards. Action to watch for includes an amazing car chase through a hillside shantytown, a stunt-filled chase with Jackie Chan hanging onto a bus with only an umbrella, and a simply mind-blowing finale in a shopping center, which could qualify as a world record for collateral damage via punches, kicks, or people simply falling through glass. All the above, plus Jackie Chan's generous comic persona, are present and accounted for in Police Story! Comes with outtakes and photo gallery.

Winner of a Hong Kong Film Award for Best Picture, Once Upon a Time in China is a kung-fu epic that's wildly entertaining and historically relevant. It is the late 1800s and China is in turmoil. Western influence is threatening the pride and sovereignty of the Chinese people, who are being enslaved for foreign labor, or becoming addicted to opium. It falls upon Wong Fei Hung (Jet Li), a renowned doctor, healer, patriot, and kung-fu artist to stand up and be counted. Charged with protecting the region with his militia, Fei Hung becomes embroiled in political intrigue and martial arts rivalries as corrupt foreigners and corrupt Chinese attempt to gain control of the region. When a rival martial arts master joins the foreigners, Fei Hung faces his greatest challenge yet. Can he save his true love Yee (Rosamund Kwan), as well as right the wrongs against his beloved land of China? If one were to compile a list of essential Hong Kong Cinema, they would undoubtedly include director Tsui Hark's Once Upon a Time in China. In addition to being a revelatory work that combined kung-fu action, political allegory, and historical drama, Once Upon a Time in China revitalized the legend of Chinese patriot Wong Fei Hung, and launched a new series of films starring a character that had already been the subject of scores of previous films and television serials. For Western audiences, Once Upon a Time in China also provided martial arts superstar Jet Li with his signature role as Wong Fei Hung, a role that Li would reprise in four more films, including the 1997 blockbuster Once Upon a Time in China and America, which featured Wong Fei Hung in the Old West!

Jet Li returns as Wong Fei Hung in Once Upon A Time In China II, the second of the popular historical epics from director Tsui Hark! This time out, Fei Hung must do battle with the White Lotus Cult, a radical group bent on expelling foreigners from China. Wong Fei Hung also meets and befriends Dr. Sun Yat Sen, who's at odds with Imperial Magistrates led by kung-fu star Donnie Yen. Fei Hung finds his beliefs and loyalties questioned, but when lives and honor are at stake, he ultimately answers to only one master: China itself!Co-starring Max Mok and Rosamund Kwan, Once Upon A Time In China II is a spectacular kung-fu epic that mixes historical pageantry with amazingly choreographed martial arts action. Legendary action director Yuen Woo Ping (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) handles the outstanding fight sequences, including an incredible climactic showdown between Jet Li and Donnie Yen! Tsui Hark's Once Upon A Time In China II is a worthy sequel to one of the seminal Hong Kong films, and is considered by many to be better than the original!

Third time's the charm as the Kung Fu Mahjong franchise returns for another round with Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel. Directed by Bosco Lam, the film features the usual suspects - television star Roger Kwok (Square Pegs) who skipped out on the sequel but returns for the third film, kung fu duo Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu, and, of course, writer and producer Wong Jing. Kung Fu Mahjong 3 bears no connection to the previous films save for the cast and the love for the tiles. Roger Kwok is supported by a welcome line-up of faces not usually seen on the big screen including TVB starlet and former Miss Hong Kong Shirley Yeung in her film debut, veteran comedic actor Ha Yu, ATV actress Patricia Liu, and stylish ATV actor Ricky Chan Bo Yuen (Confession of Pain). Comedic mainstays DJ Sammy, Wong Yat Fei, and Nat Chan also wander in for some humorous hijinks. Like the previous two films, Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel is light, energetic, and hilarious, providing plenty of good old harmless fun. As the son of the legendary Uncle Man (Ha Yu), suave mahjong expert Ken (Roger Kwok) is the de-facto successor to his father's mahjong business and gambling title. It seems love is in the air for both father and son, as Uncle Man saunters in with his new young wife Sophie (Patricia Liu) and Ken meets the charming Nancy (Shirley Yeung). The good times quickly run dry though when it turns out that Nancy is a bad luck magnet who brings calamity to all she comes in contact with. Stricken with some serious bad luck, Ken just can't stop losing. Meanwhile, the cunning Sophie, working in cahoots with rival Bowie (Ricky Chan), tries to usurp the family business by challenging Ken to a high-stakes mahjong match. Can Ken overcome his losing streak in time to save the business?

Directed by Elfa Lee, the film also stars rising TVB actress Tong Ling (who was known as Leila Kong when she made films like Those Were the Days in her teens). Together with veteran comedian Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, sexy TV actress Natalie Ng, and Eddie Pang from the boy band EO2, they bring the audience into a creepy building! Shot in Malaysia, House of the Invisibles is set in a shabby old building which only accommodates a few households. They include Fat Chow (Lam Suet) and his wife (Emily Kwan) who has broken her legs in an accident, and Chow's colleague Chee (Tong Ling) and her good-for-nothing artist boyfriend (Eddie Pang). While Chow's other colleague Chung (Wayne Lai) gets addicted to gambling, Chow can't resist the temptation of visiting prostitutes like Kiu (Natalie Ng). Few Taiwan films are more anticipated than Wei Te Sheng's 2011 historical epic Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale, based on the true story of the 1930 Wushe Incident, when the aboriginal Seediq peoples rebelled against Japanese imperialist forces. Topping the critical and commercial success of Cape No. 7 would be difficult for Wei Te Sheng, but Taiwan's top-grossing director meets the challenge head-on with this ambitious and powerful two-part epic. Produced by John Woo, Seediq Bale required US$25 million for its lush period detail and riveting action sequences, making it the biggest endeavor in the history of Taiwan cinema. Breaking opening day records, the sweeping blockbuster was Taiwan's highest-grossing homegrown film of 2011 and the winner of Best Film at the 48th Golden Horse Awards. Seediq Bale Part 1 sows the seeds for the film's powerful final conflict, depicting how the Seediq people are demoralized and finally reborn by their continued subjugation by the Japanese. Stripped of their native hunting grounds and forced to work deforesting the very mountains they called home, the rival Seediq tribes rallied together and violently rose up against years of Japanese repression in the 1930 Wushe Incident. Shown in competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, Seediq Bale was shot primarily in the Seediq language, with some Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Japanese. Seediq priest Lin Ching Tai stars as the leader of the revolt, legendary warrior Mona Rudao, whose image is on Taiwan's 20NT coin today. Japanese actor Ando Masanobu (The Butcher, The Chef & The Swordsman), television actor and director Umin Boya, Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor winner Bokeh Kosang, Cape No. 7's Tanaka Chie, and singers Landy Wen, Irene Luo, and Vivian Hsu (Hot Summer Days) are among the film's large ensemble cast of name stars and non-professional actors. This release includes Part I of Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale and an interview with John Woo and Wei Te Sheng.

A nefarious international cartel is after a super soldier formula, the secret of which may lie with King Kong (Sam Hui). Meanwhile, Kodojak (Karl Maka) is still experiencing domestic weirdness with wife "Hot Tongue" Ho (Sylvia Chang) and son Baldy Jr. (Cyrus Wong). However, when the bad guys show up, they take Hot Tongue hostage, meaning King Kong, Kodojak, and the surprisingly athletic Baldy Jr. must head to New Zealand to rescue Hot Tongue and take down Toht. Jumping between the roaring eighties and the present-day, the crowd-pleasing film follows the friendship of seven girls, then and now. Shim Eun Kyung (Romantic Heaven), Kang So Ra (4th Period Mystery), and Min Hyo Rin (Romance Town) lead the teenage rebellion as feisty, troublemaking schoolgirls whose high school brawling days cross over with the democracy protests of the eighties. Coming of age amid pop tunes, sunny times, and fearless friendship, what lives await yesterday's reckless dreamers when they meet again as adults? Winning Best Director at the Daejong Film Awards with just his second film, writer-director Kang Hyung Chul follows Speedy Scandal with another critically acclaimed smash hit that connects with audiences of all ages. The picture of beauty and composure, forty-something mother and wife Na Mi (Yoo Ho Jung) seems to have achieved the ideal life. One day, she bumps into her old high school friend Chun Hwa (Jin Hee Kyung), who is hospitalized with terminal cancer but still as sassy as ever. They reminisce about their high school days together 25 years ago. Back then, Na Mi (Shim Eun Kyung) was the quirky, small-town girl who just moved to Seoul, and Chun Hwa (Kang So Ra) was the tough fighter who welcomed her into the "Sunny" crew. Along with chubby Jang Mi (Kim Min Young), foul-mouthed Jin Hee (Park Jin Joo), bookish Geum Ok (Nam Bo Ra), Miss Korea wannabe Bok Hee (Kim Bo Mi), and arrogant beauty Su Ji (Min Hyo Rin), the girls picked fights with rival cliques and danced their teenage hearts away. They vowed to be friends forever, but adolescent breakdowns and the advent of adulthood would send them all down different roads. As Chun Hwa's health worsens, Na Mi sets out to round up the Sunny crew for one more dance.

One of the greatest martial arts stories ever told, this is a classic tale of Good versus Evil, struggle for power and how a hero remains honest in a corrupt world. Ling Wu-Chung (Sam Hui) might only be concerned with boozing and singing, but when the Sacred Scroll, a manual which promises great martial arts power and supremacy over the other clans is stolen, Ling is reluctantly drawn into the struggle for the Scroll. Secrets are revealed, loyalty is betrayed, new alliances are made, and Ling begins to realize that when power begins to corrupt, what is good and evil is not so clear anymore. Released in cinemas during the 2016 Lunar New Year holiday, The Monkey King 2 continues the blockbuster fantasy epic based on the oft-adapted literary classic Journey to the West. Aaron Kwok, who played the Bull Demon King in Soi Cheang's 2014 film, dons the monkey suit to play the powerful and mischievous Monkey King Sun Wukong in the sequel, while William Feng (Wolf Totem) joins the series as the monk who leads them on the journey to the west. With a darker story, improved visual effects and action direction by Sammo Hung, The Monkey King 2 is bigger and better, and covers some of the saga's most famous chapters, including the encounter with the White Bone Demon, stunningly portrayed by Gong Li. Five hundred years after raising havoc in heaven, Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok) is released from his mountain prison by monk Xuanzang (William Feng) who has been tasked by the Goddess of Mercy to retrieve holy sutras from the Western Region. To atone for their sins, Wukong and his fellow disciples, river ogre Sha Wujing (Him Law, Young and Dangerous: Reloaded) and amorous pig demon Zhu Baijie (comedian Xiao Shenyang, The Grandmaster), are to accompany and protect Xuanzang on this long and dangerous pilgrimage. However, many perils await them on the road including the notorious, shape-shifting demoness Lady White (Gong Li) who has set her eyes on Xuanzang's flesh. This edition comes with making-of, trailer and theme song music video.

Casshern director Kiriya Kazuaki returns with the highly anticipated Goemon, a full-blown period action epic that matches the visionary ambition and aesthetic of his first film. Produced by J-horror giant Ichise Takashige, Goemon brings together a score of familiar stars and even more familiar characters for a grand old adventure in feudal Japan. Eguchi Yosuke (Children of the Dark) leads the pack as eponymous folk hero Ishikawa Goemon, the Japanese answer to Robin Hood, along with a star-studded cast - Osawa Takao, Hirosue Ryoko, Kaname Jun, Okuda Eiji, Ibu Masato, Terajima Susumu, Gori, Tamayama Tetsuji, and Sato Takeru to name a few - essaying various historical and fictional figures. Kiriya Kazuaki makes everything larger than life with fast-speed action, uncanny costumes and set design, and the eye-boggling visuals and special effects that made Casshern and now Goemon such a spectacular cinematic experience. Warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Okuda Eiji) rises to power in the late 16th century after the assassination of his lord Oda Nobunaga. In these chaotic times, chivalrous bandit Goemon (Eguchi Yosuke) rises as a hero among commoners, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. In one of his many escapades, he steals a box from a merchant, and passes it off to a street urchin (Fukasawa Arashi). But this turns out to be no ordinary box as warlord Toyotomi's right-hand man Ishida (Kaname Jun) soon sends ninja and childhood friend Saizo (Osawa Takao) after Goemon. What's more, a legendary ninja Hattori Hanzo (Terajima Susumu), under the orders of Hideyoshi's rival Tokugawa Ieyasu (Ibu Masato), also join the fray, leading to a swordfighting free-for-all for the box and the secret that lies within.
