Shaping and Filling Your Brows with Eyebrow Palettes

For beginners, shading and shaping your eyebrows doesn’t always have to be a taxing chore. Invest in a high-quality eyebrow palette that already has all the necessary brow powders to help you in creating those fleek brows. All you need to achieve fleek eyebrows are an angled brush and the palette itself.

Essentially, eyebrow palettes are an eyebrow makeup kit that contains the shading eyebrow powder in several shades and concealer or highlight powder to clean the edges of the brows. Instead of the potentially messy eyebrow Gels or eyebrow pencils that you need to sharpen every week, eyebrow palettes provide several products in one that can guide any makeup beginners.

Steps to take before shaping your brows

Before shading and filling in your eyebrows, it’s best if you do a little eyebrow grooming after washing your face. You can use a pair of tweezers or eyebrow razor to get rid of the stubborn baby hairs above and below the brows. If you’re still unsure on how to groom your brows by yourself, you can get your eyebrows threaded or waxed at your local beauty bar.

If you choose to do this process at home, remember to not over-pluck or over-shave and follow the natural shape of your brows. To make this easier and less-painful, open the pores around the brow by dipping a cloth into warm water and compressing it on the brows for 1 to 2 minutes.

Determine the shape and length of your brows by following these steps: first, hold your shading brush in an angled position by placing it from the outside edge of your nostril and holding it straight upwards. Not that this is where your brows should begin. While keeping the brush placed on the outside edge of the nostril, look straight ahead into the mirror and angle the brush to edge of the iris. Mark this down as the highest point of the brow arch. Lastly, still keeping the brush on the outer edge of the nostril, angle it towards the outside of the eyes. This is where your brows should end.

To shape the brows, connect all the marks or lines that you’ve created while measuring your brows. You can blend the border inwards to get rid of any harsh lines. Keep your strokes light and always tap the brush to eliminate excess eyebrow powder. Then, fill the brows with the lighter shading powder. Remember to blend all the shades together. If you want a crisper and cleaner border, apply the highlighting powder, the lightest powder on the palette, on the top and bottom of the brow. Comb the brows with a spoolie brush for a more natural look.
