Our vintage journal is made from quality full-grain leather and is perfect for everything - work, school or home. It is particularly good for travel, as the sturdy leather cover won't rip or bend in your bag. Comes with Moleskine Cahier notebook. It is not bulky like full-on journals, but a lightweight, portable notepad that is easy to be used on the go. The paper pages are thread-bound, and the last 16 sheets are detachable. Also, includes a wide pocket for loose notes. The leather used for crafting is durable and soft crazy horse. We carefully select leather to avoid the scrapes that can occur with handling. However, natural markings such as scars and fly bites are part of leather's unique characteristic and these marks enhance an already unique product. The full-grain leather is the most durable and best quality leather available. It refers to hides that have not been sanded, buffed, or snuffed to remove imperfections (or natural marks) on the surface of the hide. The grain remains allowing the fiber strength and durability. The main characteristic of this leather is it develops patina very quickly. Also, this leather features a noticeable pull-up effect and has a lighter color when it's stretched or when it gets scratched. As leather is a natural material, please be aware that the shade of the leather hide used may vary slightly from the photo due to the dyeing process - sometimes the leather can be lighter/darker.
