45-year old Nakamura Rui (Suzuki Kyoka) is a successful publisher who falls in love for the first time since her divorce many years ago. However, the man she falls in love with is Suzuki Ko (Hasegawa Hiroki), a married man 17 years her junior. After overcoming various obstacles in their relationship, Ko leaves his wife Marie (Fukada Kyoko) to live with Rui, only to suddenly disappear one day without a reason. Five years later, Rui goes to Malaysia for a business trip and is reunited with Ko. Soon after their passion is re-ignited, a tragic event threatens to drive them apart once again.
