Adam Wong, director of the acclaimed 2004 film When Beckham Met Owen brings magic to the streets of Mongkok in the winning Hong Kong indie film Magic Boy! Eric Tsang produced this youth romance about a budding love triangle between two amateur magicians, played by newcomer Anjo Leung and Tsui Tin Yau (AV), and a pretty salesgirl played by Kate Yeung (Eternal Summer). Wong's film possesses a unique local flavor and an irresistible charm uncommon in more commercially-driven Hong Kong films. Young star Anjo Leung is a real-life apprentice of Hong Kong magic guru Harry Wong, and handles the film's numerous illusions with real showmanship and panache. A smaller release by Hong Kong standards, Magic Boy is no less worthy than the territory's bigger releases, and qualifies as one of 2007's unheralded gems. Carefree, playful Leggo (Anjo Leung) delivers food by day, but it's his second job that he truly enjoys. Leggo is an amateur magician, and spends many of his evenings helping his stoic pal Hei (Tsui Tin Yau) perform illusions on the streets of Mongkok. Leggo's world changes when he spies the lovely Wing (Kate Yeung) at one of the performances, and begins to woo her by showing up at her workplace and performing unsolicited, and frequently charming illusions. Wing is resistant at first, but her resolve softens due to Leggo's enthusiasm and his winning skill with illusions. However, an attraction bubbles between Wing and Hei too, and just having a girlfriend can't be the only aspiration a young man like Leggo should have. Like magic, love initially amazes, but over time the enchantment may fade. This Magic Boy must eventually grow up and become a man.

Renowned Hong Kong filmmaker Raymond Wong's 80s classic series The Happy Ghost is reincarnated for today's family and young audiences! With Ip Man's director Wilson Yip and writer Edmond Wong onboard, the fantasy comedy employs flashy visual effects and replaces the original's friendly spirit from the Qing dynasty with feuding wizards who can give Harry Potter's wand-waving friends a run for their money. Magic to Win stars popular actor Louis Koo (Overheard 2), Fahrenheit's Wu Chun (My Kingdom), action star Wu Jing (SPL), Japan-based magician Tonny Jan, Mainland actress Yan Ni (Mural) in addition to Raymond Wong himself. The film also brings back series alumni Loletta Lee and Yip Sai Wing for a cameo, while introducing a new generation of "Happy Girls" led by teen model Karena Ng in her acting debut. Nobody knows that Professor Hong Sum Kwai (Raymond Wong) is actually the Water Magician, one of the five elemental wizards. One day, Hong accidentally loses his magical powers, which are transferred to his student Cheng Meisi (Karena Ng). The girl happily uses the superhuman abilities she acquired by luck in life, at school, and on the volleyball court, but those powers also land her in trouble as a war of wizardry rages around her... Fire Magician Bi Yewu (Wu Jing) is desperate to turn back time to change a tragedy in the past, but to do so he needs to bring together the powers of all five elemental wizards. Wood Magician Gu Xinyue (Louis Koo) foresees catastrophe if time is warped, so he alerts the other wizards - including Earth Magician Ling Feng (Wu Chun) and Metal Magician Charlie (Tonny Jan) - to join forces and prevent it from happening...

The heartwarming true story of the dog that touched the hearts of the Japanese people reaches the big screen with Wasao. See how the adorable Akita - popular for being so ugly that he's cute - became an UNESCO-recognized tourism ambassador. Writer Kobayashi Hirotoshi and director Nishikori Yoshinari (the team behind Railways) traces the life of Wasao from his days as an abandoned puppy to growing up under the loving care of a restaurant owner, played by Yakushimaru Hiroko (Always - Sunset on Third Street). The story of the Akita named Wasao begins in Tokyo, when he was loved by the family's youngest child Akira. However, when tragedy strikes, the family goes against Akira's wishes and abandons the puppy. Eventually, the puppy finds his way to a coastal town in Aomori Prefecture, where he meets kind restaurant owner Setsuko (Yakushimaru Hiroko). Years later, Setsuko and her loyal customers finally win the trust of the dog, now all grown up and given the name Wasao (played by the real-life Wasao).

From the people who gave you The Machine Girl comes the even crazier Tokyo Gore Police! The makeup and special effects guru behind The Machine Girl, Exte, and Meatball Machine, director Nishimura Yoshihiro remakes his own award-winning 1995 indie short Anatomia Extinction into a gleeful splatter galore bound for cult classic status. Spilling buckets of blood and then some more, Tokyo Gore Police has all the gore, exploitation, action, and sickly inventive use of body parts you could possibly ask for. Shiina Eihi from Audition stands tall and beautiful in the midst of the sadistic mayhem as the vengeful monster slayer in a very short skirt. Living up to its billing with eye-popping gore, comically over-the-top perversions, and thoroughly entertaining madness, Tokyo Gore Police is a must-watch for fans of gore and extreme cinema. Sexy katakana-wielding cop Ruka (Shiina Eihi) is part of a special paramilitary squad that maintains order in the tough streets of futuristic Tokyo by squashing violence with ultraviolence and merciless executions. Her latest mission is to hunt down a mad scientist known as the Key Man who has developed a virus that mutates humans into hideous killing machines. These monstrous man-creatures might be able to sprout wacky weapons from their wounds, but they're no match for Ruka who's been on a vengeful bent ever since her father was murdered. The case turns bloody personal when Ruka discovers that Key Man may be linked to her father's death.

Panorama Sympathy For Lady Vengeance (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)
₱ 1,894.00
YesAsia
Acclaimed filmmaker Park Chan Wook returns to the director's chair to helm Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, one of the most highly anticipated Korean films of 2005. The film marks the end of Park's hugely popular "Vengeance Trilogy", a series of films that began with 2002's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and continued with 2003's internationally successful Old Boy. Unlike most trilogies, this trio of pictures is united not by plot or by characters, but by its thematic content, namely, revenge and its terrible consequences. Actress Lee Young Ae (Joint Security Area, Jewel in the Palace) takes up the leading role in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, portraying Geum Ja, a beautiful woman just released from jail after thirteen years of imprisonment. Her crime? The kidnapping and brutal murder of a young child. Through the use of flashbacks, it is revealed that Geum Ja was extremely kind and generous to the other prisoners during her internment, earning a widespread reputation as a veritable saint among the imprisoned women. However, Geum Ja's polite behavior masks her true intentions, for it seems she is totally innocent of the charges brought against her and is covertly hatching an elaborate plan to seek retribution on the twisted Mr. Baek, an English teacher played by Old Boy's Choi Min Sik who is responsible for her unjust conviction. And as soon as Geum Ja is released from prison, her demeanor changes. Once kind and considerate, she becomes cold and calculating. Enlisting the help of a retired cop (Nam Il Woo) and her daughter Jenny (who was adopted by an Australian couple during the anti-heroine's incarceration), Geum Ja sets in motion her plan for bitter vengeance, but will she succeed? Find out in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, a film that may just prove why revenge is a dish best served cold! Comes with a Chinese-subtitled Bonus DVD containin 103 minutes of special features: Making of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance Interviews with Cast Sympathy for Lady Vengeance in Venezia Promotion Introduction by Director Park Chan Wook Style of Lady Vengeance: Interviews with Director & Staff Alternate Scenes: Deleted & Long-take Scenes(with Director & Actors' Commentary)

Panorama Snakes On A Plane (Hong Kong Version)
₱ 548.00
YesAsia
Snakes on a Plane's magnificently self-explanatory title triggered a cascade of buzz and anticipation, and fans of truth in advertising will be relieved to learn that the movie lives up to its billing in every way: there are many snakes, they are on an airplane, Samuel L. Jackson is there to show them who's boss, and the results are just as fun as they are silly. Jackson stars as Nelville Flynn, an FBI agent escorting a witness (Nathan Phillips) on a flight to Los Angeles. Phillips is supposed to testify against an evil mobster, but the details really aren't important, and the filmmakers are smart enough to focus on what counts: a variety pack of poisonous snakes is released mid-flight. To make matters worse, the snakes are crazed and violent because of pheromones, leading to the truly classic Samuel L. Jackson line, "Great. Snakes on crack." The flight includes a standard array of monster-bait, including an arrogant rapper (Flex Alexander), his bodyguard (Kenan Thompson), a flight attendant on her last trip (Julianna Margulies), a rich princess (Rachel Blanchard), and an irritable misanthrope (Gerard Plunkett). But mostly, there are snakes that have no trouble springing out of luggage compartments, toilets, and even mouths. The script is full of punch lines, some intentional and others not, but the movie expertly treads the line between spoof and sincere B-movie, and fans of both genres should be thoroughly satisfied.

A Life Full of Love is a Life Full of Meaning! When a young man is told that his aunt's body has been found in a park, he starts to discover the truth about her past, only to stumble upon more than he ever imagined in this fairytale-like tragedy from Nakashima Tetsuya, the man behind the international smash Shimotsuma Monogotari, a.k.a. Kamikaze Girls. Nakashima explodes genre conventions in Memories of Matsuko (Kiraware Matsuko no Issho) an entertaining, wholly unforgettable film that is equal parts drama, comedy, and musical! Memories of Matsuko is a heartbreaking tale like no other, centering on the life of Kawajiri Matsuko (Nakatani Miki, from Densha Otoko), a dedicated, entirely hopeless romantic on the lookout for her very own Prince Charming! After Matsuko's death, her nephew Sho (Eita) begins cleaning out her apartment, finding keepsakes that suggest his aunt lived a truly meaningful life. The film then gives us glimpses into her past, as we first see Matsuko back in the 1970s as a popular high school teacher at the local junior high school. Her fortunes change, however, when she nobly takes the blame for a crime by one of her prized students. As a result, Matsuko loses her job, her reputation, the regard of her family, and much, much more. In the past, Matsuko always sought the love of her dour father (Emoto Akira), but he always seemed to be more concerned about her chronically ill sibling. Now, with seemingly no one left to turn to, Matsuko looks to find any man who will return her love, even if that man resorts to physical abuse against her. Even worse, Matsuko eventually gets involved in prostitution and even goes to prison. Later, she crosses paths with Ryu (Yusuke Iseya), the young thief who cost Matsuko her teaching job. He reveals his lifelong affection for her, and Matsuko soon believes she has finally found her Knight in Shining Armor. But Ryu is a gangster, and his dangerous ways seem to spell doom for their relationship. Will their love prevail? Full of dazzling CG-assisted visuals and amazing musical numbers that articulate the personal feelings of its lead character, Memories of Matsuko boasts a curious narrative approach, as the depressing, often dark subject matter is enlivened by the film's glossy veneer and upbeat point of view. Based on Yamada Muneki's best-selling novel, Memories of Matsuko sidesteps melodramatic cliches in order to get across its message: a life full of love is a life full of meaning indeed!

In 2009, Overheard broke the box office record for a crime film in China and showed Chinese filmmakers that even police-related crime films can be made in the strict Chinese censorship system. Two years later, producer Derek Yee and writer-directors Alan Mak and Felix Chong (Infernal Affairs) reunite with stars Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo, and Daniel Wu for Overheard 2, a thematic follow-up with different characters and a different story. The directing duo once again explores the nature of greed in the stock market, but they shift their focus to a hot social topic in Hong Kong: The power of the ultra-wealthy over society. In Mak and Chong's world, these villains' weapons of choice are price gouging and collusion, and their power reaches so far that they can control the entire economy with a few phone calls. After standing on the same side of the law in the first film, the three leading men go head-to-head against each other this time as three players in a complex cat-and-mouse game that will reveal a conspiracy involving these 21st century villains. With various twists and turns along the way, the three men can turn from allies to adversaries at any moment. In addition to the three stars, Overheard 2 also co-stars Huang Yi (The Road Less Traveled), Michelle Ye (Hi, Fidelity), Wilfred Lau (Fire of Conscience), Joman Chiang (The Drunkard), as well as veteran actors like Kenneth Tsang and Wu Fung. With an all-star cast, topical themes, and explosive action sequences (designed by Dion Lam), Overheard 2 was a massive box office hit in both Hong Kong and China, more than doubling the box office gross of its predecessor. Manson (Lau Ching Wan) is a successful stockbroker with powerful, secretive employers. After an automobile accident, Manson discovers that someone has wiretapped into his entire life. An investigation by righteous police officer Jack (Louis Koo) reveals that the man behind this complex surveillance system is Joe (Daniel Wu), an ex-soldier with a dark past. At the same time, Jack also discovers the existence of the Landlords' Club, a group of experienced stock fixers with enormous power over the stock market. What does Joe want with the Landlords' Club, and how is he connected to it? This edition comes with director's commentary and special featurettes on the director and leading characters.

After taking two lovers on a journey through Beijing in Lovers On The Road, independent filmmaker Jessey Tsang brings that journey of discovery home with her sophomore film Big Blue Lake. The story of an actress returning home to redeem her past sins, Tsang shot most of her exquisite drama at her home village of Ho Chung, a small, quiet rural area that is rarely seen in Hong Kong. A director of both narrative and documentary films, Tsang cast professional actors like Leila Tong and Lawrence Chou alongside real Ho Chung residents in the film - including her own father - to enhance the realist nature of the film. One of the most acclaimed Hong Kong independent films of 2011, Big Blue Lake has been screened at film festivals around the world, and Tsang was nominated for the Best New Filmmaker award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her work. Lai Yee (Leila Tong) returns to her quiet rural village home in Hong Kong after an attempt at a career in Mainland China ends in failure. Having spent many years away, Lai Yee is shocked to discover that her mother (Amy Chum) is showing early symptoms of Alzheimer's, and her siblings have moved away. While she struggles to readjust to the village life, Lai Yee's former classmate Lin Jin (Lawrence Chou) comes back into her life. Together, they explore lost memories, a chance at love, and the mystical Big Blue Lake that will give them courage to start anew.

But many film fans were more excited about Kawasaki Minoru's spoof film The World Sinks Except Japan based on renowned sci-fi satirist Tsutsui Yasutaka's short novel. Positing the exact opposite scenario as Sinking of Japan, the film presents a world in which only Japan is above water, and what a world it is! Japanese is the lingua franca, foreign women are employed as maids, homeless refugees are used as Godzilla film extras, and Hollywood stars are reduced to disreputable jobs. Outlandishly surreal (or is it?) and completely politically incorrect, The World Sinks Except Japan is chock-full of tongue-in-cheek humor and outrageous satire. Nothing is sacred in this mind-bogglingly uproarious film starring Kohashi Kenji (Azumi), Kashiwabara Shuuji (Who's Camus Anyway), and Matsuo Masatoshi (Mizuchi). The creative duo of director Kawasaki Minoru and writer Migita Masakazu have found something of a cult following in the last few years with their hilariously inventive films. Their 2004 film Calamari Wrestler was a low-budget inspirational sports film in which the wrestlers just so happen to be giant walking seafood. In 2005, they created Executive Koala, a psychodrama about an ordinary salaryman who gets implicated in a murder case; said salaryman also just so happens to be a man-sized koala. This time, Kawasaki leaves the animal suits behind for straight-out insanity in the human world, pulling no stops to offend and amuse, all in the spirit of laughter of course.

Following the critical and commercial success of The Way We Dance which turned into a sleeper hit in 2013, director Adam Wong and writer/producer Saville Chan team up again to tell another wistful, youthful Hong Kong story in She Remembers, He Forgets. Set in the present day and the early nineties, the film contrasts the now and then of a married couple, who first met in high school and face a midlife relationship crisis after years together. Miriam Yeung (Little Big Master) and popular Hong Kong personality Jan Lamb play the adult protagonists while newcomers Cecilia So, Nick Yau and Ng Siu Hin anchor the teenage years. Married for ten years, Gigi (Miriam Yeung) and Shing Wah (Jan Lamb) have reached a stalemate in their relationship, with both consumed by work and barely communicating. A high school reunion prompts Gigi to flash back to memories of her school days when she was close with the rowdy, outgoing Shing Wah and another boy, the smart and serious Bok Man. Back then, the three of them were all members of the school's aviation club, and mired in the dreams and angst of adolescence. Confronted with what her life has become, Gigi begins to wonder what ever happened to Bok Man, and what lies ahead for her and Shing Wah. This edition comes with the film's soundtrack CD and a paper airplane.

An all-star cast assembles for the hilarious and delightful Lunar New Year blockbuster All's Well, Ends Well, a mixed-up comedy caper about three brothers and the women in their lives. Stephen Chow stars as Foon, a notorious womanizer who works as a radio DJ. But his plans to score big with the ladies are derailed by the appearance of Maggie Cheung, who plays a movie-obsessed fan who goes Fatal Attraction on the hapless DJ. Meanwhile, Foon's brother (Leslie Cheung) is an effeminate florist who engages in a gender-bending battle of the sexes with his cousin, the butch Teresa Mo. The two fight and fume mercilessly, but could attraction be lurking underneath? Finally, third brother Raymond Wong Bak Ming dumps his frumpy wife Sandra Ng for sexy gold digger Shelia Chan, but when his wife responds with a fabulous makeover, will he change his mind? And will anyone be able to survive the insane amount of movie parodies, ranging from Pretty Woman to Ghost to Misery, Terminator 2, and even Once Upon a Time in China? The matchless cast, non-stop gags, and silly, endearing performances makes All's Well, Ends Well a standout Hong Kong comedy that is sure to tickle - or even cripple - your funny bone!

Break Up Club director Barbara Wong and writer-producer Lawrence Cheng are back to break your heart with The Allure of Tears. Featuring Richie Jen, Gigi Leung, Aarif Lee (Echoes of the Rainbow), idol-drama queen Joe Chen, and Under the Hawthorn Tree new stars Shawn Dou and Zhou Dongyu, the poignantly romantic melodrama consists of a trilogy of standalone tales about life, dreams, and the often futile pursuit of happiness. Though they vary in tone and theme, the subtly connected storylines wield enough emotional power to drive home the message - cherish your loved ones before it's too late. Young leukemia patient Xili Mei (Zhou Dongyu) befriends You Le (Aarif Lee), an angry rich kid being treated for brain tumor at her hospital. Her optimism inspires in him a renewed passion for life, as well as a budding romance destined for tragedy... In a bid to organize a fundraising concert to save their music academy from bankruptcy, Ding Dake (Richie Jen) is reunited with fellow alumnus Yang Lin (Gigi Leung), a world-famous violinist who abruptly retired three years ago after an accident left her half deaf... Chen Sheng (Shawn Dou) and Zhang Cai (Joe Chen) are a couple very much in love but forced apart by harsh circumstances. To fight for their future, Chen struggles to make his career away from home, but when he returns three years later, their future is but a shattered dream...

Johnnie To offers a very different take on the Hong Kong triad genre in Election. Simon Yam Tat Wah and Tony Leung Ka Fai portray two triad leaders who struggle with each other to head the Wo Sing Society. The film never romanticizes triad leaders as heroes (like the Young and Dangerous series), nor condemns them as criminals, but offers an extremely realistic portrayal of gangsters as human beings. Apart from the two superstars Simon Yam and Tony Leung as potential Chairpersons Big D and Lok respectively, the film also has Louis Koo playing the young, brilliant, and college-educated rising star in the triad. Veteran Wong Tin Lam is the influential senior triad member Uncle Teng. Well-experienced actors including Nick Cheung, Eddie Cheung, Lam Suet, and Gordon Lam, who has excelled in many other Johnnie To movies, vividly portray other gangsters in the film, and Maggie Shiu is Tony Leung's wife. The film title Election already spells out the plot: it follows the Chairman selection process in the Wo Sing Society. The film opens with the ceremonial rituals of the Chairman's inauguration, which reminds us of the Society's origin being a centuries-old institution once with a virtuous aim of overthrowing tyranny. Ironically, while the head of the Wo Sing Society is still elected by senior triad members nowadays, the temperamental Big D (Tong Leung) and the calculating Lok (Simon Yam) both attempt to beat their competitors by all means, including bribing the seniors and bullying the opponents. The intervention from the police and Uncle Teng (Wong Tin Lam), and the conflicts and cooperation among the junior triad members, etc, lead to complicated politics and, undoubtedly, fierce fights as well. Even without a single gunshot, the film still contains plenty of spectacular actions alongside in-depth depiction of human nature during power struggle. Johnnie To enriches the film with a political allusion to the present day Hong Kong, making this excellent title more than just another triad movie.

Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame proved that Tsui Hark has come back on sparkling form, and now the visionary Hong Kong filmmaker endeavors to create the first Chinese martial arts film in stunning IMAX 3D! He revisits the film Dragon Inn he produced two decades earlier (itself a remake of the 1967 King Hu wuxia classic), and co-writes, directs, and produces the epic follow-up Flying Swords of Dragon Gate with a revamped story and much more sophisticated production values. Supported by a top-caliber crew including acclaimed director Jacob Cheung (A Battle of Wits), action choreographer Yuen Bun (The Blade), and 3D effects guru Chuck Comisky (Avatar), Tsui manages to advance the genre and bring it to a whole new dimension. Leading the all-star cast is kung fu icon Jet Li, who joins forces with Tsui for the first time since they collaborated on the legendary Once Upon a Time in China series. His co-stars include Zhou Xun (The Banquet) playing a martial arts heroine, Aloys Chen (Painted Skin) in dual roles, Guey Lun Mei (The Stool Pigeon), Chris Lee (Bodyguards and Assassins), singer Mavis Fan, plus action stars Louis Fan and Gordon Liu. A huge critical and commercial success, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate has swiftly grossed over RMB500 million at the China box office to reach mega-blockbuster status, and garnered heaps of praises at various international film festivals and a whopping 13 nominations at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards. During the Ming Dynasty, China was practically ruled by evil eunuchs. In a mission to rescue persecuted officials, righteous swordsman Zhao Huai'an (Jet Li) assassinates the vicious East Chamber commander Wan Yulou (Gordon Liu), thus making himself the prime target of the West Chamber overlord Yu Huatian (Aloys Chen). Zhao and company flee to the vast, sprawling desert on the frontier, and seek refuge at the infamous Dragon Gate Inn, which was rebuilt after being burned down in a blaze three years ago. There, the fugitives come head-to-head with a variety of mysterious figures - swordswoman Ling Yanqiu (Zhou Xun), hunted palace maid Su Huirong (Mavis Fan), a deadly tribal princess (Guey Lun Mei), a pair of bandits (Chris Lee and Aloys Chen), and secret agents from the West Chamber. When Yu Huatian and his henchmen track them down to the inn, everyone's fate will be decided in an earth-shattering showdown amidst the all-devouring sandstorm... Hong Kong Version 2D+3D Blu-ray comes with 126 minutes of special features, including making-of, behind-the-scenes, cast & crew interviews, trailers, and director's commentary.

In 2004, cult director Miike Takashi made his first foray into family entertainment with the superhero film Zebraman. The film, starring Aikawa Sho as a teacher in the year 2010 who takes up the identity of a TV hero from his childhood and saves the world from aliens in the process, became Miike's biggest hit at the time. Six years later, Miike and writer Kudo Kankuro (Shonen Merikensack) reunite for Zebraman: Vengeful Zebra City, a sequel that takes the Zebraman saga into the year 2025, during which the striped hero is called upon to save the world from an Orwellian-esque government. In addition to legendary Aikawa returning as the Zebra suit-donning hero, Naka Riisa (Toki wo Kakeru Shojo) steals the show with a sexy performance as leather-clad villain Zebra Queen. 15 years after the events of the first Zebraman, Ichikawa (Aikawa Sho) wakes up from his 15-year-long slumber. It's now 2025, Tokyo has been renamed Zebra City, and its corrupted ruler has allowed the police force - named Zebra Police - to kill anyone they suspect of a crime during two five-minute periods each day. Ichikawa is attacked by the police during such a period and loses memory of his superhero past. Taken in by a young man who recognizes him from 2010, Ichikawa slowly recovers his memories and vows to defeat the villainous Zebra Queen (Naka Riisa). However, the Zebra Queen has an even more evil plan in the works.

Adapted from Tsubota Nobutaka's best-selling book, Flying Colors (a.k.a. Biri Gal) is based on the inspiring true story of how a delinquent teenage girl went from the bottom of the class to being admitted to one of Japan's top universities in just one year's time. Arimura Kasumi (Strobe Edge) plays heroine Sayaka, a second-year high school student who stands out with her dyed blonde hair and short mini-skirts. Deemed an airhead and a problem student, she is at the academic level of a fourth grader. Sayaka's mother sends her to a private tutoring school where she finally meets a teacher (Ito Atsushi, Mozu) who believes in her. With his help, Sayaka begins to wholeheartedly study for the college entrance exam and strive towards the seemingly impossible goal of entering Keio University. Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Doi Nobuhiro (The Wings of Kirin, Hanamizuki), Flying Colors is an underdog, coming-of-age tale that shows how the right teacher can change a student's life.

Independent Hong Kong filmmaker Scud serves up the second act of his "Limits Trilogy". Exploring the limits of passion in relation to homosexual romance, Amphetamine managed to raise even more controversies than its infamous predecessor Permanent Residence did, thanks to its liberal amount of full-frontal male nudity, depiction of drug use, and explicit sex scenes. In particular, a violent sodomy scene had to be cut in order to get a theatrical release under the Category-III rating. That scene is fully restored for this video release. With Lawrence Lau as co-director and Heiward Mak on editing, Scud's Amphetamine was screened at the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival, and chosen as the closing film of the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival. Former TVB actor Byron Pang (The Storm Warriors) and Chinese-British actor Thomas Price (City Without Baseball) are both newcomers in films, yet they both give daring performances as two men drawn into love and despair after a fateful encounter. The film co-stars actress Winnie Leung (The Forbidden Legend: Sex and Chopsticks II).

Inner Senses and Koma director Law Chi Leung delivers his latest macabre tale with Curse of the Deserted. Probably Hong Kong's most in-demand actor right now, Shawn Yue (Love in a Puff, the upcoming Child's Eye) stars opposite CJ7 actress Kitty Zhang (playing three roles) in the hauntingly romantic suspense thriller based on the novel of the same title by Cai Jun. In fact, two other bestsellers (The Deserted Inn and Naraka 19) from the popular Mainland novelist were previously adapted into films, and some of the plots and characters in his spine-chilling novels overlap with each other's.e Based on his experience visiting a remote village, novelist Guo Jing (Shawn Yue) publishes a new story titled "Deserted Village" about an undying love that transcends life, death, and time. Intrigued by his tale, four inquisitive college kids set off on an expedition to the mysterious village despite Guo's warning, and when they come back, a series of inexplicable and terrifying events happen to them. Meanwhile, an enigmatic woman (Kitty Zhang) warns Guo of the deadly consequence of exposing the secret of the village. Still, the curious writer takes it upon himself to unravel the thousand-year-old mystery surrounding the haunted village... Hong Kong Version Blu-ray comes with Mandarin/Cantonese bilingual soundtrack featuring Cantonese dubbing by Karena Lam, Liu Kai Chi, and Soi Cheang. Following her breakout performance in You Are the Apple of My Eye, Michelle Chen lends her goddess-like charm to The Soul of Bread. She's caught between two suitors in Taiwan directors Sean Kao and Lin Chun Yang's bakery-themed romantic comedy based on Kao's award-winning TV movie of the same name from 2006. The filmmakers enriched the story for the theatrical remake, with more lighthearted humor, cultural insights, and a little nostalgic sentiment thrown in the mix. Cat A.W.O.L. (a.k.a. Cat A Wabb) offers a Thai romantic comedy combo that can't go wrong: Pae, Baifern and a cat named Johnny! Romcom favorites Pae Arak Amornsupasiri (Best of Times) and Baifern Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul (A Crazy Little Thing Called Love) search for love and a missing cat in the lighthearted crowd-pleaser directed by Nareubadee Wetchakam (Tamper Eye) and comedian Pongsak Pongsuwan. College student Mayo (Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul) has just begun training at an advertising agency, and she quickly develops a crush on her supervisor, assistant director More (Pae Arak Amornsupasiri) who has been put in charge of a new commercial. If all goes well, he'll be promoted to director. Mayo gets assigned the important responsibility of watching over the commercial's star, uncooperative feline Johnny. As Mayo and More grow closer while training the cat together, she also falls deeper into her romantic fantasies, but then she learns that he's still hung up on his ex-girlfriend. Lost in her own misery, she accidentally loses Johnny on the day of the commercial shoot! With More's career and indeed the fate of the entire ad agency at stake, Mayo has to do everything she can to bring Johnny back.
