The Smart Bro Pocket Wifi can provide internet speeds of up to 12 Mbps and is compatible with 3G networks. It can support up to 5 devices that are all connected concurrently.

Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home WiFi

This is Smart’s own version of a router with LTE capability. It is also an alternative to the Smart Bro Pocket WiFi, however, you will need to plug it into a wall outlet. The Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home WiFi is not the company’s first 4G LTE router since it launched the SmartBro Share It in 2009, which was a free gadget that came with a postpaid plan.

Design and Construction

The Smart Bro LTE Home WiFi router is encased in a polycarbonate chassis with a matte finish. It has a small and compact build, with legs that help keep it stay upright. On the right side, you will find a power switch that is coupled with one Ethernet port, a power port, and a reset switch. At the top and bottom is where the ventilation grills are situated, while the bottom is the location of the SIM card slot.

In front, you will find the LED lights that indicate the LAN, Signal, Power, and WiFi, along with the Smart Bro logo. These indicators will help you determine if the device provides a good reception via color codes.

On the back, you will get access to the sockets that let you attach the feet so the device can stand upright. If you want to mount the Smart Bro Prepaid LTE router on a wall, the device comes with hooks which you can find on the back panel’s other side.

Features

If a simple dashboard or interface is your key criterion for a router, then you will adore what the Smart Bro LTE WiFi router has to offer. Its Smart Bro dashboard is neat and simple and can be accessed by visiting smartbrosettings.net. The router comes with a default AP name and password, both of which you will need to change after activating the router for security purposes.

What’s more, the device can support up to 10 simultaneous connections including one LAN connection. Apart from the settings, you will also get access to an SMS composer that allows you to top up the SIM card, so you can subscribe to Smart Bro unlisurf plans, GigaSurf plans, or SurfMax.

Speed and Reception

Although this device is called an “LTE WiFi” router, you might need to be in areas where there is a strong signal from Smart Network. When it comes to the connection speed, the router can provide download speeds that range from 4Mbps to 6Mbps in certain areas in Manila, while upload speeds run between 4Mbps and 6 Mbps.
