  • Made from carbon fiber with gold accents.
  • Gives your phone an additional 64GB/256GB storage.
  • Featuring the first-ever solar panel on a phone (case).

Flexing (verb) - to stunt or to show off. This is what you will be doing if you buy this iPhone X case for PHP 235,000 (USD$4,500). If the iPhone X is not expensive enough, the iPhone X Tesla would make it even more unobtainable.

To clarify things up, it is neither made by Apple nor an iPhone X modification, it is a specialized phone case complete with gold accents and carbon fiber body. What makes this phone case extra special is that it has a built-in solar panel and can add some 64GB to 128GB of memory to your iPhone X. It is bulkier compared to most specialized iPhone cases measuring 16.2mm in contrast to the average 7.7mm in thickness. Furthermore, the iPhone X Tesla is also said to be shock-resistant and has an IP67 waterproof rating according to Apple Insider.

Made by Russian phone accessory maker Caviar, the iPhone X Tesla sells for PHP 235,000 (USD$4,500) and will only have 999 units available. Each case will be numbered according to the order they are produced. The first unit will be sold to Tesla CEO Elon Musk with the SpaceX tagline “Made on Earth by Humans” engraving. It comes with a one-year warranty and free shipping but with such a price tag, any potential buyers would need to shoulder any sales tax incurred.

The iPhone X Tesla sounds awesome but there are some queries that you might want to think about. First off, Caviar hasn’t revealed what type of solar panels are equipped on the case and with such a small surface area, the charge can be underwhelming. The amount of power needed to fast-charge your iPhone X would need a way bigger solar panel. Speaking of which, with the amount that you’re going to be spending on this case, wouldn’t it be more reasonable to install a full-sized solar panel in your house?

If you happen to have PHP 235,000 just lying around, by all means, go for it. Although there are no clear instructions on exactly how you can get this iPhone X case, Apple Insider has noted that all transactions are “accompanied by a personal consultant”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
